Embracing my Passion
I am a songwriter who started later in life. I sang in church when I was a child, and I've always been involved in choirs, when the chances came along. Lots of writers become prolific when they go through emotional times. Issues are triggers, everyone has their own.
I write songs for, and also work with, other artists, individually and in workshops. My goal is to help anyone of any age who is keen to express themselves in an exciting, fulfilling and very creative way. It can be easier than you think.
Live Life in Song
I always write my songs to tell a story, and to mean something. I am passionate about the process of writing lyrics. I am part of a duo partnership with a wonderful multi-instrumentalist and arranger - Cole Toury, who plays both guitar and keys equally well. Be Inspired By Everything
I find inspiration in all areas of life, through my personal beliefs, and through the big issues of life. It is increasingly difficult not to be moved by what we see around us. My writing style is similar to Dylan and Cohen. It is ‘issue’ and ‘philosophy’ driven, and album titles like these give it away to some extent:
